A warm welcome to all FOMS Parents/Guardians and families:
My name is Marisel Schank and I am honored and excited to serve as your new FOMS PTA President for the 2011 -2012 school year. I have the difficult task of following in the footsteps of Dwayne Henry who proudly served as PTA President for the last two years, and I think I speak for everyone in thanking him for a fantastic job. I realize that there's much work to be done in the months ahead, but I'm eager to get ready for the new school year. During the next few weeks our PTA will be working hard to make the necessary preparations and transitions for the upcoming school year. As first order of business we need to welcome our new Principal, Mr. Arthur Williams to our FOMS family. I am certain that we will create a great partnership for the betterment of our school.
Please keep in mind that the FOMS PTA will have many sponsored events this coming year, and we need everyone's support in any capacity that it can be given. Let's not forget that many hands make the work lighter so I encourage all FOMS parents/guardians to get involved in our PTA in some way. Our PTA works in direct partnership with the FOMS leadership to make our school the kind of environment where our children can achieve their highest potential. I invite everyone to give a bit of their time for this shared goal. We still have some openings in our PTA board, if you have the time and the desire, don't hesitate to contact me. We will have a PTA table during Back to School Night on September 8th. Please stop by to say hello and learn more about our PTA! I look forward to getting to meeting everyone. Let's all work together to make this a wonderful year for Forest Oak middle!
